This series of photos shows the continuation of the work between the trucking (stock) yards and the timber plant. The sleepers were very poor in this area and an experiment was undertaken to remove the line , grade the beed and relay the sleepers before lifting the line back into position. (photos 1 to 4 Rick Fletcher).

Formation graded and sleepers repositioned. The next group of photographs was taken by Doug Booker and shows the line being repositioned on the sleepers. (photos 5-9 Doug Booker) Bob, Harry and Rick stay out of the danger zone while the line is being moved by the excavator.

It has been a long time since a fire warmed railway workers in the station master's office . Kylie, Arthur, Laurie and Shane with Shanes daughters enjoy the night.
