Rehabilitation Work at Carlwood Station
These photographs show the wprk carried out on the restoration of the Carlwood Station area. This project was a joint effort between the Oberon Council, Landholders, Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway Inc. and the Catchment Management Authority.

Carlwood Station the footings were all found in exactly the position shown on the 1922 drawing. The excavator shifting earth from the high western side to the hollow area near the rail line. The final surface of the car park and station site after grading.
Oberon Council operators
Terry Bell and Keith Wittaker did a fine job.
The peg marks the site of the original toilet which was also exactly located from the plan.
Terry Bell on the excavator clears the illegal crossing at the South end of the yard. Contrast this with the BEFORE view on the RIGHT. Richard Webb standing near the footings for the steps leading to the original small platform. Keith Whittaker re-shapes the entrance road so that coaches will be able to enter more easily.
Saturday 25 March 2006 - Fencing the site
Richard Webb cuts the mortices in the gate posts. Josh & Aiden Clark watch Richard's artistry with the chainsaw. Matt McMahon & Charles Hazelwood enjoying the labour. Council engineer Leigh Robins supervises Col Roberts fencing work.
Wayne Cooper & Councillor Keith Sullivan hard at work Arthur Robinson found another culvert to conquer. The Crew. Gates yet to be hung but about 800' of fencing done in 3 hrs.
